MARZENA MAJCHER is a Polish composer of music for films and theater plays, contemporary classical music, she is also guitarist. She graduated Department of Composition at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw under the direction of the well-known composer Professor Krzysztof Knittel. She also graduated Instrumental Department - Classical Guitar at the Academy of Music in Łódź.

creates music commissioned for films and theater plays. She composed music for over 35 films, 7 theater plays and TV series. Her achievements include compositions of contemporary classical music for chamber ensembles and symphonic orchestra. Films with her music have been awarded many times and presented at Film Festivals around the world.

She performs concerts, presenting her music with film visualization at Music and Film Festivals. She founded the famous avant-garde artistic group Ankh Fabrik. Scholarship holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage (2017).

Latest compositions of contemporary classical music are: Chemistry of Love for string quartet (2017), Figures for symphony orchestra (2016), 88 Fractals for string quartet and two female voices (2015). In her works, the composer is often inspired by various fields of science and experiments - transforms other spaces and non-musical structures fromthe world around us into the language of music.

Well-known works with the music for movies and theater plays by her: the feature film
Hanoi - Warsaw (awarded with the European Film Academy Award, Tallin), documentary film Himilsbach, (awarded the Golden Hobby-Horse at the Film Festival in Krakow). Music for the theater plays: Kobro (awarded the special "Golden Mask") and Angel's Wing.

She collaborated with well-known directors: Grzegorz Królikiewicz, Leszek Mądzik, Katarzyna Klimkiewicz, Kim Hee Jung. Her music was performed by Agata Zubel, Miłosz Pekała and the Quartet NSQ +.

Important concerts took place at the: XIV International Contemporary Music & Visual Arts (Bydgoszcz 2018), 4th Krakow Accordion Festival (2018) Music Festival Ecos Urbanos in Mexico (Mexico City 2017), in the Planetarium of the Copernicus Science Institute (Warsaw 2017), at the OFF Camera Plus Film Festival (Krakow 2014), on TVP Culture - 'live music' for Charlie Chaplin's film, at the Festival of Contemporary Art Revisions_5, where her futuristic album was the best musical projects of the 'Event of the Year 2011' (Warsaw 2011).

The composer at her concerts often uses an interactive instrument - Exformer, created especially for her by Michał Silski. The artist uses this additional stream of information for sound modeling, thus enriching the music she plays with additional dimensions.
